The inaugural meeting of the international innovation network, Firefighter Cancer, was successfully concluded under the leadership of Network Managers Natalie Doerfler and Alexander Guhr. This first event marked a significant milestone in the network’s mission to reduce the risk of cancer among firefighters.

During the meeting, foundational work was laid for several promising and innovative work groups. Network partners participated in focused workshops, generating new concepts and strategies aimed at developing advanced methods, processes, products, and approaches to mitigate cancer risks for firefighters.

With international support from Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Austria, Phase 1 of the network has already been launched, and we look forward to the groundbreaking solutions this collaboration will produce.
